In order to maintain the high international quality, consistency and reputation of the CMC designation, and as the basis for the reciprocal recognition of CMC’s across the member organisations of ICMCI so that CMC’s from one country will be recognised as such in other ICMCI member organisations, the Quality Assurance Committee is responsible for the planning and conduct of the ICMCI assessment and reassessment programme for member organisations according to the rules approved by the successive Congresses.

The Institute Assessment Programme is documented at the ICMCI web site.

All assessments must be planned and conducted with experienced assessors. The committee considers the qualifications of assessors and appoints the assessors for each assessment. The actual assessors develop the documentation covering the findings of each assessment process including discussions about member organisations’ procedures and results and showing best practice when found relevant. The assessors’ reports are distributed to all of the committee for approval and recommendation to ExCom. ExCom will then in turn usually acknowledge the recommendation without having to study the detailed material.

Members of the Quality Assurance Commitee are:

 Peter Sorensen (committee chairman)
 Aneeta Madhok
 Fons Roels
 Nick Shepherd
 Peter Thomas
